Description

Description: EOGT produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 516 amino acids (20-527 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 60.4kDa (Migrates at 50-70kDa on SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions). EOGT is expressed with an 8 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Introduction: EGF Domain-Specific O-Linked N-Acetylglucosamine Transferase (EOGT) takes part in the regulation of Notch receptor. EOGT catalyzes the transfer of a single N-acetylglucosamine from UDP-GlcNAc to a serine/ threonine residue in extracellular proteins resulting in their modification with a beta-linked N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc). EOGT mainly glycosylates the Thr residue positioned between the fifth and sixth conserved cysteines of folded EGF-like domains
